Randomized Study Published in Vaccine

Larry Miller, PhD of MSC is a coauthor of a publication titled “Probiotics reduce symptoms of antibiotic use in a hospital setting: a randomized dose response study”, published in Vaccine.  The study, sponsored by DuPont, enrolled over 500 patients to determine the effect of high-dose probiotics, low-dose probiotics, or placebo on antibiotic-associated diarrhea and C. diff.-associated diarrhea in hospitalized patients requiring antibiotic therapy.  The HOWARU® Restore probiotic lowered the risk of AAD, CDAD, and gastrointestinal symptoms in a dose-dependent manner.  More.
